When my fight for my children's rights is over (they have reached the age of 18), I hope I have helped to leave a legacy for other Dads, not just in Australia, but worldwide. A fight that many other fathers have struggled (and sometimes died) for over many years. THIS IS A WAR ON TERROR - Hopefully, future generations will NOT have to be go through what we who have already gone through have had to suffer, not just for ourselves, but also for our children. Since separation, I have found the following resources quite helpful in my struggles, not only to come to terms with separation from my children, but to be informed of and fight the unfair, unjust, biased government and biased legal system of this country. There is very little or no government support for men in Australia, and many other countries, compared to the government funded support available for women. Here are some of the support sites for men and other family related matters. |
Each time we stand up for an ideal, or act to improve the lot of others, or strike out against injustice, we send forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centres of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. - Robert Kennedy (7 June, 1966) |
